Captain Jaimie Bartlett
… CEO & founder of Nautical Solutions, Capt. Jaimie is a USCG Captain holding a Masters & OUPV, with towing & sailing endorsements. She is also Instructor Trainer for US Sailing & US Powerboating as well as a USCG Instructor and consultant for sailing programs around the country. After years of professional experience in education & coaching, Jaimie started Nautical Solutions to fill the educational gap in on-the-water training for sailing and powerboating. Through her organization, she has coached kids and adults across the lifespan to become safer on the water and foster a passion for the sport. In addition to her maritime professional career, Jaimie holds a B.S. in Psychology, M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and is a practicing SLP in the acute care hospital setting. There she works with infants in the NICU, children & adults with swallowing, feeding, communication & cognitive difficulties. In her free time, she sails competitively, hikes, snowboards, and adventures with friends.
Capt. Ted Thornton
RYA Yachtmaster, USCG Captain, US Sailing & Powerboating Instructor, RYA Instructor, and Vessel Systems Instructor
Captain Ted has be training skippers for the past 30 years. Initially from Scotland, Capt. Ted became a RYA Yachtmaster, Instructor, and an MCA 250 tonne Master, in the 1980s. When he moved to the USA, in the 2000s, he quickly qualified and a Coastal Cruising instructor with ASA, US Sailing, and US Powerboating. As such, he founded Liquid Insight, LLC to train “Safe Skilled Skippers”. Capt. Ted also enjoys traveling the western coast with his wife in their adventure van, “Murphy”.
Capt. Ryan Danilson
USCG 100 GT OUPV - NC, US Powerboating SPH Instructor
US Powerboating Safe Powerboat Handling Instructor & owner of Boat-Safe America. Ryan has been operating vessels of all sizes for most of his life, as a recreational fisherman. He is quite knowledgable of the SF Bay Area waterways from the Farallones to Dillon’s Beach and up the Delta. Safety and fun are his specialty!
Capt. Seamus Dougherty
USCG Captain & US Sailing Instructor
Capt. Seamus received his B.S. in Marine Transportation from Cal Maritime in 2017, where he obtained his USCG 100 GT Master and Unlimited tonnage 3rd mate all oceans. He is also a US Sailing certified sailing instructor, very accomplished sailing coach, and accomplished competitive sailor.
Capt. Mitchell Andrus
USCG Captain, US Sailing Instructor
Capt. Mitch holds a 100 GT Master IL, and is a US Sailing certified keelboat sailing instructor. Cpt. Mitch and his wife Quincy live and run a business, Q+M Travels, on their beautiful sailboat in Berkeley. Through Q+M Travels, they offer clients day sailing excursions and overnight trips around the west coast.
Shoreside Operations Specialists
The shoreside operations team is run by Bartlett CPA. This firm is owned by a fellow-sailor from the Barnegat Bay, in NJ. The book-keeping and payroll portion of Bartlett CPA is managed by another sailor as well.
